Not really sure where this goes (If it's in the wrong place, I'm sorry), but when I try to go to the guide section to create a guide, it says the following:

"Akimbo, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1 Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2 If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Why is that happening?

Just as Fenny said, you need to post in the Guide Submission section of the forum. We have a group of mods and members review guides before they are posted onto the site.

As explained in the stickied Guide Rules

Whilst we welcome error reports, please bear in mind most things are done for a reason and whenever there is something a little different check the stickied threads for any "rules" topics as these will most probably give an explanation.

That's part of the bueaty of it, you don't have to do the guide in parts then have people say "buuuttt u didn't talk about ___" constantly. You can write and edit it in private at your own pace and get feedback before the guide is made public.

You can work on the guide and the mods/admins will review it and give you feedback so you can make changes until it's perfect...

...then you show it to the general public.

When it's in submissions no-one except the author, the moderators and (perhaps one day) a select group of guide writing "experts" can see it.

This means you get constructive critiscm.
This means you write a better guide.
This also means the community only gets quality guides.

When the guide is finished and has been proof read and ideas thrown around and implemented the guide will be moved to Guides where everyone will be able to look at it and read it and reply if they want to.
