This is what moderators are under instructions to do. Locking an advert is no good since the actual advert, website addy or PSN id etc is still there. It has been suggested that the advert could be locked with the intention of making a point so long as specific information is removed that renders the ad useless.

I've deleted at least two or three threads dedicated to advertise hacking, and charging MS points for doing so.

If this isn't the kind of advert you guys are referring to, please fill me in so I can have a better look in the future.

All the adverts I've seen I've deleted on the spot. There was also one in the chatbox but that got taken care of by someone else.

ditto with NinJa what kind of adverts are you talking about?

Thanks for the heads up, I haven't seen any when i'm on so i'm guessing they got deleted by other mods. If they're teams/clans they have a right to advertise in the appropriate section, maybe what you're seeing is an expiring redirect?

I delete any Ads I see. I also haven't seen any team ads in GD, but I guess I'll agree with Voodoo on this one.
