So, when I'm bored I sometimes go through old, old threads just for fun. Now sometimes I see some threads created that are the exact same as some ancient threads nobody remembers. Is it worth it for me to suggest they check out the other thread or to suggest merging, if they are the same? Or should I just not mention it and respond as normal?
I was going to find an example with a thread that was posted today but it got locked... It was like the guy praising the Tar, I was gonna give my thoughts and then suggest maybe merging it with the Tar-21 appreciation society thread that ViS created a while back. His thread got locked, however, so that wouldn't apply. But anyway, would that be appropriate or should i just leave it alone? Last edited by pantstofry; 04-26-2010 at 06:18 PM. |

I'd just leave it alone.
Sometimes really old threads just die out and new ones are created in it's place, it's normal lol. Usually there is an old thread about something that hasn't been posted in a long time, and one new one, we only lock threads that have 2+ threads going on about it, just like the "I hate when..." thread. If one topic was locked, and you wish to continue on the discussion, the best thing to do is to just make a new one. It would be appreciated if people looked for threads a few pages back, as we don't frown upon necro-posting as much as other forums do. |
