Negative Community

Figure a little feedback wouldn't hurt ill start by saying im done with this forums, it seems to me that this site is no longer a place where people talk about mw2 but would rather talk about reasons why they dont like it.

2/3 posts now are people creating a thread about something they wanna complain about nothing wrong with that its just not for me anyways best of luck peace

Don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out. Although this was what I was thinking when I proposed the Rant section to keep the threads these guys are talking about out of GD. It does make our community look like a bunch of D-Bags

Yeah, but you can rant IIRC in Game Reports, because its kinda like debriefing room, where you say how you feel about things. If you don't like the complaining, then don't go to game reports.
And @Call Me Vanilla, irony bonus: around your last 8 posts were complaining about complainers.

Also, this isn't a negative community; but you have to understand its a discussion forum. That means that arguments will be two-sided, which may mean a positive and negative side. Yes, some repeat or similar threads calling out commando as gay are stupid, but some open up good discussion. Most of the problems with MW2 have been discussed on this forum, so any discussion could be talked about in a rant in GR.

Yeah I guess it is but like for the thread Is MW2 a shit game? Does that really need to be on the main page of a MW2 forum? It won't necessarily make people want to join the forum. Obviously people will still join, it just kinda makes us look bad. Im not going anywhere and I don't really care too much about new people cause I like most of the people on here now, it was just trying to explain something from what I could see as an outsiders perspective.

I understand where you are coming from, we do bitch MW2 games, but 2/3 of your posts are bitching about what other forum members talk about, or what they have beef with. While some of your posts have been helpful, a lot of them just complain about this forum. If you don't like the forum or what we discuss, there isn't much we can't do about it. It is what it is. Thank you for your contributions, and hopefully you will change your mind.

Obviously there is a good about of people who are upset about the numerous problems in Modern Warfare 2, so its only natural of them to vent their anger in some form of outlet, this forum can constitutes as one of those outlets. Seeing how expressing your own opinion isn't against the rules we simply can't filter out rants in a thread or remove someone opinion on the game.

Some people have suggested adding a ranting section, but as Ozball and Pantstofry has said there are a few problems with this. On one hand if we don't make a ranting section then all the rants just stack up in GD. On the other hand if we include a ranting section it'll do nothing but encourage bitch rants and pointless discussion that will ultimately lead to nowhere, and also prove to be unappealing to potential members.

I'm sorry you feel this way about the community at these forums, from my expirence here I've met a lot of great people who are dedicated to this community and franchise, and it isn't very hard to find them. So please reconsider your decision.

i guess it is ironic i have been complaining about complainers there is definitely flaws in the game that need to be discussed i guess the model 1887s and omalol are good examples, from now on i guess ill just select my threads and tip toe around the ones i dont like. I'm actually pretty surprised how gracious this thread went.
