This happens every time I play xbox, without fail. And it only gets worse. My only question: What the fuck is it, and why?!



I have to play with THAT on my screen. It's not fun in zombies, either.

You need to buy a new TV.

If you can see that distortion, and it is on the signal being sent through your recording device, then you has problems, and it's unlikely to be a loose connection somewhere. Probably something wrong inside the TV.

Did you hit the TV or anything recently?

No, it only happens on the Xbox. I've tried HD and Standard, Game mode on and off, Different resolutions, changing the cords, but nothing.

It just confuses me :S

I had a similar thing happen to my TV. It would be fine, then out of the blue a weird distortion pattern would appear, my TV would shut off, shut my xbox off, and restart. It would do this cycle 20-30 times before it would stay on. I turned it down to 720p and now it only does it 5 or so times. Still annoying, but at least mine works.

Mine does the same, but it doesn't switch off. I've learnt to live with it by now, it seems like a reward playing half a game without that...thing.. :\

• Does it only happen on black ops? yes = black ops is the issue.
• Does it happen on every device you plug into that particular SCART/HDMI/composite socket? yes = faulty TV or cables, no = faulty xbox (alternatively does it happen on other HDMI/scart/composite sockets?)

Answering those two questions, because of the other info you've provided, should give you an answer as to which bit of the system is faulty. Then go from there.

It happens with every game, but different patterns pop up for each.
It is an LCD, if i'm not mistaken. And no, i'm pretty sure it's just the xbox. I might try it out on another TV. If it still does it, I might replace the TV.

If you try a new TV with your xbox and the issue still happens that means it's the xbox NOT THE TV.
