FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU-

All that time what was causing the problem was the 24-pin ATX power socket, it was slightly off angle so I just nudged it a little bit with my screw driver Dunno how it didn't break, all I care is that for a moment today I found true happiness. (it would be twice with my GF over but UTI really isn't making things go too smooth)

Did a test run outside the case and everything ran perfectly, GF is over now so I have to finish tomorrow.

Everything but the GPU is assembled then I'll need to connect all the cables.

Well she does her best Wunda ;P

Which brings me to the subject - she left and now it's nearly finished, just two fans left to hook up and putting the side panels back on remain

Messy, but it's working

Spoiler:

I'll try to tidy it up later maybe before installing W7.

I haven't had time to add the finishing touches yet but everything seems to be running fine, motherboard and all components + all drives and ports functioned okay.

Only evident problem is the cable management, I'll have some time today probably.

Also the CPU temp it too high - ~58C - 62C on idle - cable management will probably help but I'll also check heatsink and fan alignment later.

See you guys later, off to work now.

Put the side of the case back on. People put fans in specific parts of a box to create airflow, then people go and ruin it by chopping the side off

Well that was a suprise. I didn't spot that it was a full tower till the pics...

Everytime I try to manage the cables it feels like I'll break them :/

Ima lower the sleeving on them.

Spoiler:

(fan cables fold up when case panel is mounted)

All fans working but CPU is overheating horrendously ~ +92C.

Unmounted the stock HSF and the problem is the thermal paste, not enough coverage.

Bought these for tomorrow: Corsair Cooling Air Series A70 Socket Intel 775.. | Ebuyer.com

Arctic Silver 5 High-Density Polysynthetic Silver.. | Ebuyer.com

Arctic Silver ArctiClean 30ml Thermal material remover.. | Ebuyer.com

You sure 92c is correct? That's not the north bridge or that your mobo is known for dodgy temp sensors or something? If the top-reartop-top fans are speed adjustable, turn them down.

P.S. it's supposed to look something like this...

Default Re: My Riggasaurus Rex

I'm posting from my new Riggasaurus Rex.

Well, I installed the corsair A70 with both fans and the BIOS gave me a 40C reading (24C mobo-exactly the same as when CPU was 90C), still rather high for idle, I guess, but I'm sure that's just cable management. Whatever it is I'm just happy that every thing is running perfectly - hell, more than perfect even, Haffie just does everything so ridiculously fast now

Will update with pics soon, specially now that I have a purrdy CPU cooler as requested by Oz ;P

If I have time, I'll sort out the cables on Sunday, BTW is that yours abc? looks lovely <3

I don't know how you guys do it, but my PSU cables simply won't reach what they need to reach if I run them behind the motherboard, I tried and a lot of them are behind it.

You guys use any sort of extension? The sheer ginourmety of the case probably gets in the way there.

Haffie Bigalow = my case.

Now I'm off to make a real pro generic PC gamer signature listing Haffie's best bits.

FFS, wrote my post then accidentally clicked something else to open in the same tab, not a new one, cba.

Basically, this is the disadvantage of buying a premium case and a value PSU.

Check out Bitfenix and NZXT for braided cable extensions, they are great quality and come in a multitude of colours.

@abc, WTF is that case. Looks like an ATCS840 or a HAF932 but repainted black/red.

EDIT: The new version of the HAF 932?

That's a random HAF 932 I grabbed off the "show us your cable management" (there was an even better one I remember from ages ago but couldn't find a pic) thread on an OC'ing forum I sometimes visit.

My PC is ugly inside. It's a mess of silver heatsink, blue PCB, red PCB and unpainted case Plus too-short cables for proper cable management, courtesy of a too-cheap PSU. A GFX card starting in "HD 4..." is starting to show it's age too Bad times for ABC's comp.

Given you've the same mobo, same cable management slots, same PSU location yet a bigger case... that really proves I need a new PSU

To go with the bigger HDD I need

...To go with the new GFX card I need

I r haz not enuffs moniez 4 dat. Ima have another go at cable management.

EDIT: Resounding fail. It really is as good as i can get it with silly-length cables from PSU. Also the cold cathodes look horrid. I have 5 FFS. My case looks like Westwood pimped it Need banishing or redeploying. Well this is embaressing...

Still, I r haz most HDD? most cold cathodes? biggest co-

(biggest cooler obviously... but seriously) Looks better in real life as you can actually see that the cables are too short.

This is getting repetitive.

Default Re: My Riggasaurus Rex

MY COOLER IS BIGGER BWAHAHAHAHA.

Idle: 23C - 25C
Moderate usage: 25C -30C
Heavy load: 35C - 42C

Installing BC2 now and see how everything goes.

EDIT: Everything on highest possible quality @ full 1080p = 39C - 41C

Heatsink fans @ 1500RPM - intake and 1100RPM exhaust, they haven't even cranked up to full 2000RPM

Some pictures, will open up the case later as I CBA to rent a crane to lift it off the ground ATM.

Spoiler:

My room is full of boxes and crap all over and I don't plan on tidying up any time soon so that explains the viewing angles.
