I'm hoping someone can help me here because I'm going mad not being able to COD online!
Sony released a new update a couple of days ago but every time I try and update via internet it comes up wiht an error message at around 70% and cancels the download.
When I download the update from playstation.com (uk zone, where I am), it tries downloading from the usb stick but says the file is corrupted after a few %ages.
I've tried it from other safe locations but the same thing happens, although when I look on other forums some people say it's worked for them. I'm asking here before going to Sony because, well, we all know what they can be like with tech support ... any help much appreciated

That must be really annoying amigo..!! I dont know how to fix this or where to go but hopefully someone on here can help you.. It could be worse tho I am stuck offshore for the next 12 days with no online for me PS3..!! Good luck..!!

1st off why are you downloading it?

I only download the updates when we are made to and as far as i know we havnt been made to do this one.

If you have been made to do it, and when i mean made i mean it wont let you sign in untill you do, then i suggest you do a system restore of the ps3. Dont worry about any games and stuff u have downloaded off the store as u can re download them for free BUT i suggest before u do it to copy all the game save data to a usb as u will lose all the game saves.

A system restore is the only option before goin to sony, unless anyone else can think of something different
