I used to have two xboxes one for home and one for my cabin while working offshore on an oil rig, life was simple I played multi player games at home and offshore I played campaign mode games as we dont have a good enough online connection. I know it is sad but I liked to see my xp and achievments building up a history, this was easily done by transfering my profile onto a microsoft memory stick between the two machines depending on where I was.

My Brother recently talked me into selling up my 360s and trading them for PS3s so we could play online together, which I done. Now to the point..!! I created a profile with the same name on both machines and sync`ed them both. I know I can transfer save game data between both units using a memory card but will I also get my hard earned trophies..?? Or will I have to pack up the machine offshore and bring it home (online) to re sync the trophies..?? If not I guess I will sell the offshore one and buy a metal hard travel case and just use the one unit..!! Any help would be appreciated, and sorry for the wall of text..!!

You'll have to transfer the trophies from one PS3 to another.

I recently had to use my sister's PS3 for something and attempted to sign on to MW2 and the only things that had been kept were my Multiplayer unlocks and rank.

However, shouldn't be too much of a pain if you have a large USB.

Thanks for the reply but are you saying you can transfer the trophies via a large memory stick..??

A USB drive, yes.

Just go to Settings > System Settings, and then there is something about backing up data and what not and do that and then you just do the same thing on the next PS3 except you receive the information.

Thanks Amigo..!! I hope it works as it would be a pain to transport my console back and forth all the time. I will try it when I go home this time and post how it went for anyone who has similiar prob in future..!!

Seems game saves can be transfered between two PS3s using a memory stick but not trophy information..!! In order to get trophy info you must first sync your psn id on both machines earn your trophies then go online to resync..!!
