Xbox 360 Wireless Mic Issues

Il try to explain this the best way i can. Over the last few days my wireless mic has been acting up. It syncs out and and refuses to sync back in. But i have narrowed the problem down. My mic just will not sync if my chatpad is in but when my chat pad is out it works fine. When its NOT working all 4 lights flash then it goes to port 2.

Has anyone else had this problem and/or know how to fix it.?
