Default Keyboard

*Sigh* Yet another post,

Finished hooking everything up, bought a new monitor/tv and wired it all up yadadada.

I have quite a substantial amount of money left and i've always saw these "Razer Lycosa" and all the rest and i wanted a new good keyboard cause the one i use is tatty and horrible,

I would like to programme macros for things to open programmes or to do certain stuff (For instance on games like world of warcraft) and i thought i'd need extra keys

I have about 200£ left over and i wanted to buy a keyboard but i don't want to spend a great deal over £60 (If that)

I had a look at a Razer Lycosa and tarantula, MS sidewinder (I think it was), Cyborg Saitek (... Can't remember the exact name) and a logitech g15; anybody have any experience with these keyboards

Personally i think the g15 is ugly as ---t but i've heard good reviews

just wanted some feedback on them or which one you think is best/ or what has faults

Thanks.

PS - The MS Sidewinder and the Lycosa interest me most but i am willing to change my mind.

Ps (Again) - Also anybody have experience with binding keys on games such as wow give me an overview on it

I know i have asked alot but any imput on this people?

I own a Razer Lycosa myself so I suppose I can answer some questions about it. However I don't play WoW and I know there's a funny Macro system inside that which I can't answer any Qs about. Overall I find it a reliable keyboard, although even the cheapest keyboards nowadays are pretty reliable, and I think it looks awesome.

For starters here's a screenshot of what the Macro creation screen on the Lycosa looks like.

Spoiler:

If you need anything in the picture explaining more thoroughly don't hesitate to ask and i'll see what I can do.

One downside of the Lycosa is it doesn't have any more buttons that an ordinary keyboard, except the media touchpad. Also the minimum delay between actions in binds is 50ms, which feels really long since on CoD4 I could have the same binds with only 2ms wait.

Well i have been looking around amazon and play,

I been thinking i've seen the sidewinder which i think has 6 additional buttons aswell as that detatchable number pad which i can put on either end (Could be usefull for actions on games) which i've found for 35£.

That meens i could spend the remaining on a mouse, mabye not the best gaming one but you get my drift, do you know if theres a good macro placement with the SideWinder? Do you know if theres any major differences that should make me pay 35£ more for the lycosa?

Is there any cheep mouses that a have a few extra programmable buttons

I just need an overall best use of around 100£ on mouse/keyboard. Keyboard is priority though

Thanks
Tiddy.

I've never used a Sidewinder and I find that the usability of mice is hard to use by just looking at them. I did have a Razer Deathadder (1800dpi version) which I found really comfortable and it has 2 pretty large programmable side buttons, I imagine that it has come down in a price a lot since I bought it although i'm not sure how much stuff costs in the USA. If you don't need heaps of extra buttons i'd give that a look.
