Yo!
So I've been wanting to make a new frag movie (since I didn't really like my previous one, was boring like fuck). I wanna focus on making a snipervid this time. Yet I got the following problem. Fraps doesn't properly work & never will. So like I advertised, I use the WeGame client, which is the best option for me atm. Anyhow, to be able to record sound with the WGclient (which is really needed for an entertaining sniper vid imo), I gotta enable the Wave Out on my soundcard. To do this, I was supposed to go to control panel, sound, recording -> enable hidden devices & them simply toggle it on. Yet, this doesn't appear for me. I run Windows Vista (latest SP normally) & have a Creative Soundblaster X-fi. ![]() "Uitgeschakelde apparaten weergeven" = Show disabled devices "Niet-aangesloten apparaten weergeven"= Show non-connected devices As you can see I enabled everything, yet the Wave Out still doesn't show up on my screen. Now I still believe that I'm pretty good with computers, but I simply cannot find a solution for this. Googling didn't do anything for me either. Note: Might be useful to know that when I use fraps, it records sound without me having to do anything specific. Any useful input is very much appreciated! UPDATE: I'm currently still working on this, installed various driver versions & got something new now. A device called "what you hear" appeared in the list. There is somethign about this on WeGame forums, trying to do smth with this now. Yet it's currently enabled n i still aint recording sound. Current situation: I have the what you see/stereo mix device enabled, yet WeGame still doesn't record any sound at all.

X-Fi Gamer + Windows 7 here
![]() Have you tried setting the recording mode to "2 channels, 16 bits, 44100 Hz (CD quality)" in the advanced tab in the What U Hear settings window? Maybe WeGame just can't record with your current settings. What are your reasons for not using Fraps?

Ive used fraps in the past, but for some reason, sometimes it works properly, other times fraps makes my fps drop to ~5. No idea why. |
