I downloaded the freebie from their website but 30 seconds of recording at a time kind of sucks. The full fraps is under $40 but I am wondering if there is an alternative to fraps that is inexpensive w/ a simple user interface?

Is there any capture software that does not impact fps too badly or cause serious lag?

If I decide to get fraps, how easy is it to edit w/ Windows Movie Maker? I had issues editing Xfire vid's w/ WMM so I'm skeptical of it and no, I don't have money for Vegas. Any help is most appreciated.

Well I was gonna think of a few free legal programs to suggest, but since Sgt.Joo gave that idea I could PM you some links to "free" Fraps .

Thanks doods, I am fully awares of the torrent stuff, was just seeking opinions about easy to use like fraps and if it's worth getting the full version or if there is something better. will look up wegame...isn't that what ViS uses?

Xfire is absolutely fine for higher end computers, FRAPs has a 30 second limit obviously, WeGame seems to be the top choice for anyone having compatability or performance issues with xfire.
