Default Should I buy this PC?

It looks like this is the best section of the forum to get advice on computers so, I have been in the market for a new computer but, I'm not savvy enough to want to attempt to build my own. I figured it would be cheaper just to buy one on craigslist or classifieds.

So, anyway, I saw this Compaq Presario (yeah, I know), for sale:

COMPAQ PRESARIO (DESKTOP) - $275 (HOOD RIVER)
Date: 2010-02-02, 4:26PM PST

FOR SALE: COMPAQ PRESARIO DESKTOP, INTEL PENTIUM DUAL CORE, 2.2 GHZ, 160 GIG HD. 2 GIG MEMORY RAM, DVD RW, WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM, OFFICE 2007, WHIT A 17 INCH, LCD (ENVISION) AND WIRELESS KEYBOARD AND MOUSE, PLEASE CALL AT ---------- $275.00 O.B.O THANKS.......
I am thinking about calling and asking if I can just buy the tower for like $150 or $200 after bartering for a while but, again, I'm here asking if it's worth it.

Similar comps on Compaq's website sell for twice as much: Compaq's Desktops

All I'm really looking for is a computer that would be able to easily run WoW (along with the upcoming expansion) and maybe even Diablo 3 when it comes out.

What say you?

I'm currently rocking a Compaq Presario that's about 4 years old and it's terrible for games...

Here's all the specs I could find with my laughable computer skills:

Thanks in advance for not making fun of me.

I'm not looking for high performance. I'm just looking for something CHEAP that I can hook up to my big screen and play WoW on (maybe D3.) I'm still going to keep this shitty computer for browsing the internet, dl'ing/watching movies but it will never see the light of another game.

_______________

Saw another one that I'm interested in... I'd have to drive farther to get it but it sounds sweet:

3.0 amd quad core pc - $450

Reply to: see below

Selling my custom built amd quad core system so I can pay my rent this month. The motherboard, processor, heatsink & fan as well as the harddrive & memory are less than a month old & the pc has been used for internet surfing only. Although I've never played any games w/it but according to Can You Run It you can play any game out there. The specs are as follows

asus m3n78-vm motherboard w/ hdmi e sata owners manual driver disk & retail box & 10 month manufactures warrenty

amd phamon 2 x 4 940 3.0 processor w/owners manual

4 gig (2x2) pc 1066 ram

2 tb hitach sata harddrive w/owners manual & retail box

brand new in the box lite-on blue ray dvd rom drive (I will instal it for you free of charge)

cd-rw drive

on board 512mb ge force 8200 video card

windows xp pro

brand new in the box logitec z-5 speaks

pc tools anti virus & anti spyware

open office 3.1 -does everything ms office does but is free.

nero 7

power dvd 8
Any opinions?

I looked up all the components on the net and found that if I got them all myself and built it; it would cost around $450, anyway. That's not including the dvd/blu-ray drive and speakers he's throwing in there, though. I don't really have a need for them but I wouldn't turn it down if he's throwing it in there.

___________

Here's another one that caught my eye: 4870 gaming computer, watercooled, custom built - $475

___________

EDIT: Or can I just upgrade my RAM and call it good? If I'm spending over $100 on upgrades when it's being put into a computer that's probably not worth that much, I think it's stupid.

Second one will be awesome with a new GPU. Others are ridiculously bad.

Thanks. Yeah, after you said that, I checked out nVidia's website and they don't even list the 8200, anymore.

I'll have to go with the 3.0 amd quad core pc then. Maybe I can sell the blu-ray drive or something since, I have a PS3, already.

"Ridiculously bad" was a very good choice of words. Infact so too was the first sentence. Anyway ALL of them have flaws, the 1st and 3rd has a bunch of massive flaws, the 2nd only has one flaw, integrated GFX (it will be on the nvidia site, you're just looking in the wrong place because you haven't grasped the importance of the "200" bit at the end of 8***)

Also you may as well throw current PC away. The 2nd one will be faster on everything from internet & using word to gaming and films.

Quite special GFX cards are $100. special meaning max games like COD at 1050p. An ATI HD4670 should be absolutely fine for RTS etc games on a normal 17" or so screen.

COD owner - COD expansion pack owner - COD2 owner - COD2: BRO player - COD3 owner - COD4 owner - COD:WaW owner - COD: MW2 owner - COD: BO owner

This is getting repetitive.
