It's up to you really and your requirements.
Personally I would go for the TV, if cost is not an issue.
Just because of the size.
One thing to note though is MW2 doesn't run Full HD, it only runs at 600p.
On other full HD games the Monitor may produce better results.
Another thing with buying a TV is not just the res but the quality of the black, and motion on LCD tv's. Really good ones this won't be an issue, but on a budjet who knows.
As for the Monitors. I only use those for work. You would be better listening to somebody like ViS or one of the other PC players.
The moderators seem good on advise too.

Buy the 24 inch. Always go for more pixels rather than size, especially when it's cheaper to do so. The larger monitor will just look like utter crap at that resolution.

Interesting thread. As Skuh says all this "HD" mallarky is absolute BS. For a start, as the man said MW2 is "only" 576p (IIRC) and manufactures will call anything that has over 720 pixels in the Y direct "HD." For example this could well and truely, I kid you not, be called "HD" because 1024 is a bigger number than 720. HD has been around ages as can be seen from image, just computers were the only things that could handle HD. Hell COD1, and many before that, was HD on PC.

Point number 2.

BIGGER IS NOT BETTER. 50" 1080p TV = MUCH MUCH WORSE QUALITY THAN 32" 1080p TV. caps because people don't seem to understand why their "52" plasmamagic full HD 1080p HD full HD plasma HD LCD TV" is not as awesome as they thought.

All a big screen does is make you go "wow, that's big" 5 seconds before "wow, that's a bit grainy, and oh... I can see all the individual pixels from 2m away..."

Also as Skuh says Contrast ratio and refresh rate is important. Watch out for the other scam "dynamic contrast ratio" of 20,000:1 is somehow the same as a "contrast ratio" of about 2000:1. A refresh rate of 100Hz is nice, but nothing to fret over (unless you want 3D gaming, which needs 120Hz in order to achieve what "looks like" 30 FPS) For a monitor a refresh rate of 5ms is ok. 7ms is not ok. 3ms is a lot of money. 5ms is fine.

At 32" max, plasma is very expensive so LCD is the right way to go.

COD owner - COD expansion pack owner - COD2 owner - COD2: BRO player - COD3 owner - COD4 owner - COD:WaW owner - COD: MW2 owner - COD: BO owner

This is getting repetitive.
