The 4350 supports all the right kind of software and utilities (DirectX 9, Shader Model 3.0 etc) so the game will work.

However, given that the HD4350 is a low end card that can be had for a massive $15 at newegg you will HAVE to use a low resolution (say, 1024 * 768 max?) and use no filters, no shadows etc but you may be able to use medium texture details in order to get around 30 FPS.

Summary: It'll work but it'll have to be on low/lowest settings...

It WON'T work. That thing has all of the right parts but just not enough horsepower. Play older games and enjoy them fully rather than playing a butchered version of MW2.

Games, unlike MS word or the internet, are very GRAPHICally intensive. Therefore you need a very FAST GRAPHICS CARD to play games.

That second system has exactly the same graphics card therefore the fact that it has a quad core means ABSOLUETLY NOTHING.

You need an ATI HD4670 or nVidia 9600GT minimum to enjoy modern games on medium settings with a non-choppy FPS.

Unless you custom build, gaming computers are expensive. There is no such thing as a cheap and fast ready made PC. Maybe if you told us your budget we could suggest some gaming-capable systems? Although the two you've posted so far look to be worth around £300/$400 which is a very low budget for playing games.

A 4650 is MUCH MUCH better, but still just under the minimum you need to play modern games etc on medium settings.

Before I bang on about it and why all those youtube idiots are wrong about running MW2"maxed out," do you understand about resolutions, filtering and FPS etc?

A resolution of 1024*768 btw means you don't need as powerful a graphics card because the GFX card doesn't need to generate such a "big" picture with so many details.

Nevertheless if you want to play games like MW2, Far Cry 2, Dirt letalone crysis on high/highest settings you'll need a HD4850 or 9800GT minimum.

EDIT: Sorry, didn't see the reply. If low/medium is fine then I'd still advise going for the 4650 system as it'll give you more FPS and medium settings look much better than low settings AND a 4650 system won't break the bank!

So you have a 9500GT and you play on medium settings and you do get a choppy FPS?

Hence to play on those settings without any lag, meaning you can play to the best of your ability, you need something more powerful.

Yet again I am right

P.S. Not to mention games are SOOOOO much more enjoyable when you play them on highest settings with filters.

P.P.S. Canyourunit.com - LOL. As mentioned in the URL it measures whether you can run it, not "howwellcanyourunit" .com, the gauge thing at the top is no measure whatsoever of your computer's power it's simply a yes/no for feature sets such as directX and ShaderModel software for the "minimum" spec and, if released, a "recommended" spec. Infact another thing that's just sprung to mind whilst I laughing at how it thinks my PC can "max" crysis 1. Resolution. Sure my PC probably can run crysis 1 with "ultra" settings at 800x600, but put it on a normal resolution like 1440*900 and it just crumbles under the pressure.

P.P.P.S If you did go by a "how much the canyourunit.com bar fills up = how high the settings you can use" then it's clearly wrong as I get a 100% full green bar thingy for games which I know I can't run absolutely maxed because I have them and play them...

A 9800GT at 1024*768 would do extremely well on the original crysis, so will eat MW2 for breakfast even at absolutely highest settings AND with all the for-very-fast-systems-only goodies like Anti Aliasing (the thing that makes games look even better than "HD") turned right up.

Since you don't mind about running stuff on medium then no-one can blame you for getting a 4650 based system, you'll be very pleased with it.

When choosing a PC it's important to look at other stuff such as HDD space, RAM and the proccessor. Although expensive upgrading RAM and the CPU is easy, but on the other hand upgrading your HDD to a bigger one is a complete nightmare unless you shell out about £40 on specialist software (on top of £40 for the HDD) o make sure you get one plenty big enough now. Also if you do a lot of video editting or proffesional design work a quad core is essential, but just for gaming and everyday tasks (internet etc) a dual core is adequete.

The other important thing is to make sure no money is wasted by using parts that bottleneck each other.

In the same way that a Muscle car's 500 BHP and 3 million Nm of torque is useless without big sticky tires to get the power down, a really fast GFX card making 100 FPS is useless if the CPU can only take 60 FPS. At this sort of price range though you shouldn't have to worry about bottlenecks as the CPU are much stronger than the GFX card.
