Hey,
Just wondering if any of you guys experience freezing on cod? (Ps3Console) *I mostly play cod so that seems to be where it happens to me most. For instance ill be playing in mid-game when the screen will just freeze, thus making me have to turn of the console via the power switch ![]() *My friends say it has happened to them a few times but not as near as many as me.... x(

Is you console in an enclosed space? Are the fans blocked?
It could be overheating.

Whenever you move electricity through some sort of medium (e.g. a wire or circuitboard) you make heat. Modern computers and consoles make massive amounts of heat. Proccessors and other components become unstable (thus can produce crashes or freezes) when they get to hot.
One of the drawbacks of a console, just like a laptop, is that they stuff loads of "stuff" into as small a box as possible and leave no room for air to circulate or for big fans. This means that laptops and consoles overheat very easily given half the chance. So yes, your playstation does need a good supply of air.

If the fans are not blocked and you have plenty of airspace around, it is unlikely to be overheating (they're not as bad as 360s
).If it most often in-game then it could just be as simple as a scratched disc? I know my PS3 would just randomly freeze outside of games sometimes.
