Question PS3 - DVD Recorder | Delay

I'm trying to record my gameplay with a DVD-Recorder, but there is a little delay when playing (~1/5 sec). So I wanted to buy a red/white/yellow splitter, then it would be like this:

So I wouldn't see what I am recording, since av6 shows the PS3, and av1 the DVD-Recorder (scart).

But the splitter is nowhere to be found. It's really hard to get.

Does anyone have another solution?

I'm going to go ahead and move this to Tech Discussion, since this doesn't directly relate yo gameplay affecting MW2.

You are better off buying a splitter online. It's worth it since I can imagine a delay could prove to be rather annoying to deal with. You can shell out a few bucks for a couple splitters, or $50-$60 on a capture card (still need splitters, but more reliable).

Seeming as the DVD recorder works for you, I'd recommend ordering some Y RCA splitters, like these.

For more information, see my post in Alphabusters thread on recording games on PS3.

I went to Electroworld, a store near by, and they told me that 3 splitters gave errors. He told me I needed 1 splitter for all 3 signals, but that's strange because they don't directly have anything to do with eachother.

Thanks.
