What are your system specs? What are the required specs?

Mind if I double check that you can run it? Would be a great place to start...

Vegas costs money, and no keygens seem to work for me.

ABC could you do that using teamviewer?

Well there we go then. Problem found.

It's a bit like old TVs. If the TV is only black & white then it doesn't matter if you send it a colour signal, it will still be black and white.

If the GFX card is DX8 then it doesn't matter if you download the software for DX11, the GFX card can still only do DX8.

Solution: get a newer GFX card. HOWEVER that's not as bad as it sounds. DX9 (the required) became standard in about 2005 and the DX ability of a card is to do with it's age, not it's performance. I.e. you could buy an old GeForce 6200 from a carboot sale and because it's DX9, it'd work, even though it's not brand new or blazingly fast.

I'd be extremely (extremely) suprised if you had a DX9 capable GFX card but only have the DX7 or DX8 software installed. I guess this could happen if you've reinstalled windows - but I think vista actually comes with DX10, so I'd assume win 7 comes with DX11.

I see no reason why that would be of relavence to this issue, unfortunately.
