Default CoD4 not working
Not really sure if this is the correct section (if not then will a mod please move it?), but for some reason CoD4 barely works for me now.

I can play SP fine. But splitscreen makes my PS3 freeze while the match is loading, and online when I hit "Find Game", it says "Downloading Game Settings" and stays like that.

Happening to anyone else?

And yes, I have tried shutting down and then turning back on, cleaning the disc, and even waiting an entire day in case something wasn't right yesterday.

Help?

EDIT: Oh. And going to private match also makes it completely freeze.

A few days ago, I also had a few freezes while trying to play split-screen. However it has not occured since.

This isn't a few freezes. Any multiplayer aspect of the game causes it to freeze.

Even now, after about 3/4 days,

Are there any saved files on your console associated with multiplayer? Perhaps "starting fresh" would fix it, as if there is no scratch on the disc the only thing I can think of that would cause issues is actual data corruption.

Keep in mind I do not currently own a console, so this is merely guessing because I see you haven't had any other responses thus far.

Not as far as I know, but it started working again today. No clue why.

i started DL'ing COD4 for mac, saw the 6.8 gb, but i only have 1.5 gb on my computer, fml...
