So Voodoo pointed this out today, that my video's are in 4:3 ratio when they should be in wide screen (16:9?). I can't find any particular setting in Fraps to change the ratio. I'm recording 30 fps at full size, I run the lowest fps because, well, because my comp is old and even running Fraps this low still causes dramatic and painful dips during game play.
Any ideas on how to change Fraps to record my full viewing screen without squashing it? KTHXBAI |

Use 1280x720 fullscreen (or similar) and force the aspect ratio to "Wide 16:9". Works on 16:10 and 4:3 monitors. The resulting video will be 720p with a correct aspect ratio.

:O didn't even dawn on me that my in game screen resolution in as low as I can get it. But doesn't using a higher resolution result in a drop in FPS? I know when I play COD4 if I max it my game gets really choppy. And no I can't get a new computer, but if anyone has a gfx card better than an 8400GS for sale lemme know.

I record at 1280x720 in windowed mode. No need for change in resolution when I render.
And yes, having literally less pixels to generate means your GPU can work faster, and therefore produce more FPS. Furthermore, Fraps having to physically record less pixels, is less of a CPU hog, and therefore, you may have more CPU power (but this depends on how fast your CPU has to go to kepp up with your CPU, i.e. how much spare CPU power there is while gaming).
